If you're interested in volunteering, we welcome you to join our Friends of the Library program. Friends of the Library attend an annual meeting and assist the library by joining a committee. Stop by the library and pick up an application, call 815-942-6880, or e-mail Pam Wilson at pwilson@morrislibrary.com and one will be sent to you.

   Committees

Book Sale Volunteer: Help with the book sale room.

October 2007

Children's Program Helper: Assist with special programs such as the summer reading club.
Library Week and Children's Book Week: Help plan and organize events for these special weeks.

Used Book Sale Room
Be sure to stop by our used book sale room (through the Children's Section) and pick up some great bargains.  We also have great bargains on "barely used" best sellers in the front lobby! The revenue will go toward obtaining new furniture, computers, offering programs, and other library related equipment. Our latest purchase was a new digital camera!

Host/Hostess for Special Events: Help serve refreshments at special events like open houses.
Local History Project Volunteer: Help with a variety or projects such as indexing.
Delivery Service: Help deliver books to nursing home and homebound patrons.
Gardening: Help plant flowers and maintain the courtyard garden.
