Join us this week for a series of special events that demonstrate how "Communities Thrive @ Your Library"!
This class will teach the basics of Excel and last approximately 1 ½ hours. Topics include using redo and undo buttons, methods for selecting data, clearing a cell, inserting and deleting cells, saving, creating a new document and changing column width and row height.
Registration is required for these programs. A $5 refundable deposit is due upon sign-up. Class sizes are limited to 8 participants per session.

The Friends of the Morris Library are meeting at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 21 to discuss events and happenings.
The Morris Area Public Library will host the AARP driver safety program from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 22 and Friday, April 23.
This two-day, eight hour course is designed to reinforce safe driving skills so that older drivers can remain safely behind the wheel. It covers age-related physical changes, declining perceptual skills, rules of the road, and helps participants identify their own specific shortcomings and improve their driving behavior.
The Finance Committee of the Library Board of Trustees will meet at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 22 to discuss:
- Recommendation for staff wages/ salaries for FY11
- Review of possible cost savings
- Review of estimated cash on hand at end of FY10
- Recommendation for budget & appropriations schedule for FY11
- Recommendation for meeting schedule July 2010 - June 2011

This 1 ½ hour program continues where the first class leaves off. Topics include moving data, copying data, changing viewing options, freezing panes, inserting page breaks, printing area, cell formatting, merging cells, adding headers and footers and wrapping text.
Completion of Beginning Excel or prior Excel experience is required for this course.
Microsoft Excel II will be held on Thursday, April 29 at 1:30 p.m. and Friday, April 30 at 8:00 a.m. This 1 ½ hour program continues where the first class leaves off. The Building Committee of the Library Board of Trustees is meeting to review proposals for solar shades and to review proposals for lawn maintenance.
The Library Board of Trustees meets once a month to review the state of the library and to provide guidance and governance for library activities.
Denise Hartman-Joyce, owner of Get it Together Inc. will present a one-hour program on organization in the home. A question-and-answer session will be held following the program. Please call the library at 815-942-6880 to register.
