Library Cards
All residents of the Morris Area Public Library District may
obtain a free library card by bringing in proof of current
address (driver's license, utility bill, or checkbook) and a
picture ID. Persons under 18 years of age need a parent
signature.
Non-residents may
obtain a card by paying an annual fee. Call 815-942-6880 for
current rates. New non-resident fees effective Nov. 15, 2004.
You may use your Morris Area Public
Library card at over 50 libraries in the Prairie Area Library
System. These libraries include Coal City, Joliet, Three Rivers
in Channahon & Minooka, Reddick Library in Ottawa, and the
Seneca Public Library.
Loan Periods and
Renewals
All items except for Joliet Junior
College telecourse videos may be checked out for two weeks. If
you need a longer check out period, please ask staff member at
time of checkout. Materials may be renewed if no one is waiting
for them. Maximum of two renewals per item. Renew by calling
815-942-6880 or by clicking on the iBistro Online Catalog link.
There is a five day grace period for returning books. Fines are
charged after the grace period at five cents per day per item.

Items can be requested by phone by calling 815-942-6880.
Please have your library card with you and any of the
following information:

title, author, format (book, audio book, video, CD.
etc.)

If you are at the library, you may request an item by
filling out a request form. The forms are available near
the card catalog computers and at the circulation desk.
