Start: Oct 5 2009 - 6:30pm End: Oct 5 2009 - 7:30pm “Planning for Your Retirement – What You Need to know” will take place in the lower level of the library at 6:00 pm on Monday, October 5. Retirement benefits have always been, and will continue to be the cornerstone of Social Security. As millions of the baby-boomer generation prepare for retirement, the Social Security Administration (SSA) is there to help. This 1-hour seminar followed by a question and answer session will look at the retirement program, how it works, how to apply, and what you need to know after your benefits have started. SSA representatives from the Joliet district office will be onsite to share information and answer questions about qualifications and filing for Social Security benefits. Registration is required for this free program. Please register in person at the library or by phone at 815-942-6880.
