MCHS Madrigals

Start: Dec 1 2009 - 7:00pm
End: Dec 1 2009 - 7:45pm

The Morris Community High School Madrigal Singers will present a program of Christmas music at the Morris Area Public Library on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. in the library’s lower level. Friends of the Library volunteers will serve punch and homemade cookies after the performance.

Directed by Paul Jung, the MCHS Madrigals wear colorful Renaissance-era costumes and sing traditional Christmas songs. Madrigal music originated in Italy and became popular in England during the 1500s.

The performance is free and open to all, but registration is required. To register for this program or to learn more, please call the Morris Library at (815) 942-6880. The Morris Area Public Library is located at 604 Liberty St.
