Illinois Poet Laureate Kevin Stein will be reading poetry, answering questions, and signing books at the Morris Area Public Library on Thursday, November 12 at 6:00 p.m.  Stein began teaching at Bradley University in Peoria in 1984 after receiving both a Ph.D. and M.A. from Indiana University.  He was named Illinois Poet Laureate in December 2003, filling the position previously held by Howard Austin, Carl Sandburg, and Gwendolyn Brooks.  Stein has received several awards and accolades for his writing, as well as for his outstanding teaching methodology.  We are extremely honored to host this poet, critic, editor, and educator.  Please join us for this very special occasion!
