Start: Nov 19 2009 - 4:00pm The Morris Area Public Library is hosting a bus trip to Drury Lane in Oakbrook to see the musical “Thoroughly Modern Millie” on Thursday November, 19. This is the humorous story of a young girl from Kansas who takes New York City by storm as she flaps, taps, and Charlestons her way into the Roaring ‘20s. Millie experiences the hustle and bustle of Jazz Age Manhattan at a time when women were just entering the workforce and rewriting society’s rules. A funny, romantic story about following dreams and falling in love. The bus will leave the library at 4 p.m. Please arrive at 3:45 p.m. to sign in. Bus seating is limited to 47 people, so sign up early. Cost is $60.00 per person, due by September 19. No refunds will be issued after this date.
