Start: Apr 29 2011 - 9:00am End: Apr 29 2011 - 1:00pm An AARP driver safety program will be held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29, 2011.
The program is a two-day, eight hour course, designed to reinforce safe driving skills so that aging drivers can remain safe behind the wheel. It covers age-related physical changes, declining perceptual skills, rules of the road, and helps participants identify their own specific shortcomings and improve their driving behavior.
There is a $12 fee for those with an AARP card. Those who are not AARP members will be charged $14. The course is open to all drivers. A certificate is issued upon completion, which can be used toward an automobile insurance discount.
To register for this program, call the Morris Area Public Library at 815-942-6880.
