AARP Drivers Education Course

Start: Apr 22 2010 - 9:00am
End: Apr 22 2010 - 1:00pm

The Morris Area Public Library will host the AARP driver safety program from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 22 and Friday, April 23.

This two-day, eight hour course is designed to reinforce safe driving skills so that older drivers can remain safely behind the wheel. It covers age-related physical changes, declining perceptual skills, rules of the road, and helps participants identify their own specific shortcomings and improve their driving behavior.

There is a $12 fee for those with an AARP card. Those who are not AARP members will be charged $14. The course is open to all drivers. A certificate is issued upon completion, which can be used toward an automobile insurance discount. To register for the AARP driver safety program, call the Morris Area Public Library at 815-942-6880.

The Morris Area Public Library is located at 604 N. Liberty St.
